Our History

PERC was started in 1983 when several mothers in the community saw a need. It has moved through several locations in the Orem City Center area. When the new north wing of the library was added, an area was included for PERC - where it has been located since 1995.

PERC is entirely staffed by volunteers. In the past we were supported by the PTA in the area but now we are completely independent. PERC is funded by community block grants from the federal government and the city of Orem. We are very grateful to the Orem Public Library for its long-time support.
